Project Evaluation
Parent Feedback
Feedback from parents participating in the Possibilities Project illustrate some of the positive outcomes for both children and parents.
- "I took the information and made a notebook to structure my son's
summer activities like a stay-at-home summer camp with mom, including
lots of field trips. Thank you. "
- "I've been opening my mind to new ideas. That's a
skill [Possibilities] taught me."
- "Parenthood is when you can have days when your child is having
fun. When your child is having fun, you're having fun."
- "It's been the best summer. Most summers are laid-back
and low-key, but this summer we kept going the entire time. D. E. told
me, 'Mom, this is the best summer ever!' D. E. went to Mountain
Adventure Camp and when I arrived at the end of the day to pick her up
she would be totally exhausted and I would have to drag her away. Possibilities
gave me confidence. There was so much going on and so much I hadn't
been taking advantage of."
- "I have passed some of the information on to other parents. It's
[Possibilities] a great resource."
- "Having been a newcomer in the community, the Possibilities project
provided very useful information that got me and my son out into the community
and nature. We have both gotten a lot out of the information that was
provided to us—thank you."
- "Possibilities taught me that my daughter would show more interest
and have more fun if we chose activities as a team."
- "Great job. It allowed us to maximize [my child 's] interests
and activities when they are limited due to medical issues."
